It’s not surprising that the Democrats are promoting mail-in voting. Vote harvesting worked very well in California to turn several counties from red to blue.
It makes sense that the same people who encourage ballot harvesting are against voter ID laws or having county registrars clean the voter rolls. It is not a farfetched idea to think they have ulterior motives other than getting a higher voter turnout. If they do not have an ulterior motive when they are ballot harvesting, why are they only doing that at homes they believe support their partisan interests instead of all homes to enhance the overall voter turnout? This is for purely partisan political interests; thus, it is obvious to common-sense minds that there will be fraud involved. Someone will take the process to the limit and then exceed the limit.
Knowing the many ways the Democrats abuse the voting process, I find it hard to understand why the GOP is also advocating mail-in voting.
Since 2018, we have been inundated with reports of absentee ballot applications or completed ballots never being counted or received by Voter Services. We need to keep a complete list and shepherd the applications and ballots through the process to ensure our Republican vote-by-mail votes get counted!! – Montgomery County Republican Committee
The reasoning behind this move that I’ve heard, is that news reports of early voting in past elections will show the Democrats in the lead; since they use absentee voting much more than Republicans. So, to not look bad in early news reports the GOP is is handing the Democrats a huge opportunity to increase voting fraud. That doesn’t make sense to me and in a recent corona virus press briefing President Trump expressed his strong dislike of the idea.
Jon Karl: Do you think every single state in this country should be prepared for mail-in voting?
President Trump: No, because I think a lot of people cheat with mail-in voting. I think people should vote with voter ID. I think voter ID is very important. And the reason they don’t want voter ID is because they intend to cheat. When you buy something you look at your cards and credit cards and you have your picture on many of them. Not all of them but many of them. You should have a picture for voting. It should be called voter ID. And it shouldn’t be mail-in. Excuse me. It shouldn’t be mail-in voting. You should go to a booth and you proudly display yourself. You don’t send it in the mail where all sorts of bad things can happen by the time they sign it, if they sign it. By the time it gets and its tabulated. No, it shouldn’t be mailed in. You should vote at the booth and you should have voter ID. Because you have voter ID that’s the real deal.
